outcome: David Smerdon successfully defended his title of Bullwinkle Club Champion, finishing a relatively comfortable first ahead of Konrad Uebel and Andrew Meldrum, who accounted respectively for fellow contenders Nik Stawski and Jacob Edwards.

controversy: Mister Uebel has launched a protest, believing that his title of Interim Bullwinkle Champion should have been ratified upon his making the final and monsieurs Smerdon and Meldrum ‘stalling’ the commencement of their semi.

point of interest: Black won twice as many games as White.
